Silverlon Wound contact dressing designed for placement directly on the wound surface in direct contact with the injured tissues. It can be left in place for several days depending on the amount of wound drainage and necrotic (dead) tissue present. It provides an antimicrobial barrier to the entry of bacteria and fungi, thereby protecting the wound from outside bacteria and fungi contamination.

• Over-the-counter indications: First aid to help in minor abrasions, minor cuts, lacerations, scrapes, minor scalds and burns.
• Prescription indications: Provide an effective barrier to bacterial penetration and are intended for local management of partial thickness burns, incisions, skin grafts, donor sites, lacerations, abrasions, and stage I to IV dermal ulcers (vascular, venous, pressure, and diabetic).
• For dry wounds: Add moisture (sterile water or saline) to the Silverlon dressing when dry.
